Lucky Penny

So behind! I can tell you why. I've been nursing Lucia. Our little chub now weighs 11 lbs, 6 oz. She's heavy! Her face is so round! Her thighs!!! My god. They are just wonderful. She has been colicky for a few weeks now, poor baby. I'm trying everything I can think of to help her. I know she will grow out of it soon but it's awful to see her in pain. 2-4 months is the normal age for babies to have some digestive trouble. Hopefully she gets better sooner. She's about 2 and a half months old. What a big girl! Aside from crying when her belly hurts she continues to have a very mellow personality. She patiently waits while I take care of India. She smiles so beautifully and laughs in her sleep. The other morning really early I heard her fussing in her little co- sleeper and leaned over and touched my nose to hers and said ,"hello" and she smiled HUGE. It was great. India still calls her ,"my baby" which cracks me up. She has started grabbing and holds a handful of my hair or cardigan tight ! She seems very content and sure of her place here. Our littlest. I still feel amazed that we have India, much less Lucia. Amazed and very lucky. What else? She does not like baths but loves to be held in the shower, her eyes look very blue but I think they will continue to change. She is delighted by indias voice and watches her intently. She loves to nurse and is pretty good with the bottle. I'm excited for Julia to see her so big! She will certainly weigh 12 pounds by the time she gets here.
