There's not a whole lot of time until Halloween. India is planning on dressing as Minnie mouse (!) but WHAT should Lucia be? Last year she was sashimi. It will be hard to top. Suggestions?

Baby

In a few days our baby will ne one year old! I can't believe how much she changes every week. She was playing last night after India went to sleep - jumping, trying to crawl over to indias bed, laughing & yelling. She climbed onto Sach & bit his belly several times & would look up at him to see him laugh. She has a great sense of humor. I love it. We love her so much. When India sings patty cAke Lucia claps! She loves to walk holding onto her bike or a baby stroller OR her highchair. She pushed it all the way to the front door. The other night she climbed up onto the couch next to India and laid back and crossed her legs. She knew it was funny. She is such a sweetheart.

they were having so much fun today! Maude was feeding her cheerios. It's the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Obviously.

Big girl

Lucia is so funny, she has been jumping in her crib and bouncing so hard on her bottom that she jumps off the mattress. It's hard to describe how hilarious it is. She's been repeating us- she said "naaake" for rattlesnake and tries to say "jump!jump!jump!". She loves pillow fighting. I can't believe how lighthearted she is. How goofy. She loves music- she has to dance. She loves it when grandpa rich plays guitar or mandolin. She just drums and dances. We had chow mein for dinner & Lucy sat in her highchair & had a ball- picking up handfuls of noodles & holding them up over her head, delighted. She got some into her mouth & just squealed with joy. Ah, noodles. Noodles & babies. A few of the most delicious things.

I stuck penny pants in her crib while I read to India & she figured out how to jump. India & I were laughing so hard watching her bounce & laugh. We had Sach come & see. She just kept jumping.

oh man, Julia & I got India's special birthday present last week after Lu's appt at UCLA. We went to the american girl store at the grove & bought the doll I have been wanting to buy for her for years-!! Emily, she's a red head from England. Just beautiful. I have been waiting for her fourth birthday & it's almost here. I can't wait. I did not think Lucia would be so excited about the dolls and it was so funny, she was yelling & squeaking at the dollies. I let her hold one. Julia & I picked hers out & it was hard not to buy it for her right then. Ivy, from San Francisco. They are just too much.
