4 months old
Yesterday our littlest turned four months old! So big. She's laughing, grabbing on to everything with her dimpled hands. She can hardly nurse she's SO distracted by them. She has to hold my finger really tight while she nurses to concentrate. Sach is still the best at making her smile. She weighs about 15 pounds and I need to measure her length- she is really tall. Sach calls her "fatness" most of the time. I call her Lucy Lu. India calls her "luc!!!!". She couldn't be sweeter, we are all happy she's home. She was talking and squealing at her mobile last night while she kicked her legs. I love to bathe her and then powder all of her ridiculous creases with burts bees. She smells amazing after. Her hair is dark still and her eyes are a very pretty shade of light blue. Lucia is too sweet! I can't believe how big she is already

First laugh
Lucia laughed! She's been laughing in her sleep after nursing every once in a while for a long time but she actually laughed when I was gently bouncing her on the bed. India thought it was great. Later in the evening roxy and Dylan came by and roxy fake sneezed at Lucia after Lu sneezed & she laughed pretty loud a bunch of times. It was beautiful. That was last Sunday.

hospital part II
We went back to the ER, it was too crazy so I brought her home, back to the ER at 4AM, admitted after a bunch of lab work was drawn, waited until noon to get a room in peds...on and on. She had another uti, not unexpected. She needed several days of antibiotics IV but we are home now. She was so brave & happy, flirting with all the nurses. She discovered that she can grab her hands and hold them together yesterday and has been pretty distracted since then. We both missed India and Sach teribly and I'm beyond thankful to our wonderful moms for stepping in and caring for Indi while Sach worked. Friends from my floor visited, so did Lisa. I tried to think of it as a tiny vacation but it was really har. Here are a few pictures of penny pie. We watched a lot of sex and the city. She liked stanford the most. Thats what she's doing in the profile pic.

She is just mesmerized by this mobile. India loved it too, I remember her face concentrating so intently. India spins it for her.
Yesterday
I came home from work and Lucia was sitting in sachas lap happily on the couch. He told me that in the morning after he gave her a bottle he was talking to her and she was really happy and she barked! She sort of growled and barked very happily. He did it to show me but Lucia hasn't done it again. She just looked at him funny. I'm so happy they're having a good time together when I'm not home. She loves sach & India. Monday when I got home she was on sachas lap and I sat down and said hello- she took a second and then screeched like a little dinosaur and smiled SO huge. It was amazing. Sach & I were laughing. It was great.

First day of work
Julia sent this photo to my phone on my first day back at work. She was changing her. What a wonderful picture, it made me feel better.
Goodmorning
Up with Lucia at 5 to nurse her before I get ready to work. She was so excited when I woke her up she made this creaky dinosaur screech with a gigantic smile taking up half of her face! I gave her our customary dozen or so kisses before I even picked her up. How could she be so sweet?
